The Cottage
Location
Newberg, Oregon is at the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley Wine Country and is a quaint, walkable town. The Valley Wine Cottage is just blocks from Main Street, which is a strollable avenue filled with wine tasting rooms, antique stores, clothing boutiques, art galleries, book stores, coffee shops and some of the best restaurants in the Valley. We are also 20 minutes or less to over 300 wineries and you can easily walk to George Fox University.
Come stay at our historic cottage vacation rental circa 1920 in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley Wine Region. Furnished with period-correct appointments but with all of the comforts of a modern home. Walk to restaurants and tasting rooms and then relax on your own front porch or private back deck.
Amenities
Our cottage vacation rental has two bedrooms, both with Christopher Knight (tm) queen-sized beds for a great night's sleep. (You may rent it as a one-bedroom or two-bedroom unit, pricing commensurate).
You will have the entire home to yourself - including outdoor spaces (porch with rockers, seating area with adirondack chairs and full deck with outdoor dining and lounging furniture and a hammock. Bocce Ball and Corn Hole court in the backyard. Full laundry room with brand new large capacity washer and dryer.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, including varietal-specific Riedel wine glasses, Fiestaware dishes for that period touch, modern coffee maker and grinder with an assortment of gourmet coffee and tea and breakfast items.
Relax in the cozy living room after a long day of wining and dining and watch a movie on the flat screen Smart TV. (Or you can walk a few blocks to the historic Cameo Theatre, which shows first-run movies in a guilded art deco movie theatre).
In case you've forgotten anything we supply complimentary toiletries (such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, sumptuous body lotion, contact solution, first aid supplies, etc.).
Vintage Charm with Modern Comforts
Our home was built in 1920, and still retains the charming touches, such as crown molding, the original heart pine floors and a vintage stove. However, the entire home was renovated in 2017 and now includes central heat and air conditioning and modern plumbing. and electricity. Comes fully equipped with a 43 inch HD flat screen TV. You'll just feel like you've stepped back in time!
Peace of Mind
We are using enhanced cleaning procedures and keeping the cottage vacant at least 24 hours between guests. We sanitize all high-touch surfaces before you check in. We also provide masks, hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes for your stay. Many restaurants deliver to the cottage and we have lovely outdoor dining space on the back deck. Lots of restaurants in town (that you can walk to) also offer outdoor dining.
